Hello & Welcome to Joyful Stitches

Hello & Welcome to Joyful Stitches

My name is Kim Thompson and I’m the owner and designer of Joyful Stitches. I have been sewing, smocking, crocheting, quilting, embroidering, and crafting since I was a child. In 2005, I bought my first embroidery machine and began monogramming and embroidering by machine. I found that there were few options available of cute, easy to use, quality designs and monograms. I began learning to design and digitize my own designs. I soon realized that other machine embroiderers also wanted cute and fun designs and monogram sets that were easy to use for personal and business projects. In 2007, I opened Joyful Stitches, https://www.joyfulstitches.net, to offer my designs for sale to others. In 2010, I expanded my shop to Etsy by opening Joyful Stitches Etsy, https://www.joyfulstitches.net, Now with hundreds of designs available, Joyful Stitches and Joyful Stitches Etsy sell designs worldwide for home and business embroiderers.

In my shop, you can find a wide variety of single embroidery designs and monogram design sets. You’ll love the way you can take charge of your projects with these easy-to-use embroidery designs.

About my process: When I get started on a new set, my first step is to imagine the characters and elements I want to create. Next, I either draw all of these concepts by hand the old-fashioned way using paper and pencil or locate and purchase artwork that fits my desired theme. After that, I digitize them by hand into colorful embroidery designs and add my hand digitized letters to form monogram sets. Then, designs are test stitched to ensure that you receive a product that stitches out great for your project.

I absolutely love sewing, embroidery, and monogramming! Everything I design is done while thinking about people similar to me...those who like to sew, embroider, and monogram. My hope is that you find designs in my shop that make you smile and inspire you to create many new things!
